Somewhere between 500,000 and 700,000 Florida residents now have the right to sue tobacco companies for certain tobacco related illnesses. Minorities should take note. As early as the 1960’s, tobacco companies began deliberately targeting minorities through sophisticated ads to hook society’s most vulnerable on cigarettes: the poor, African Americans, Hispanics, Asians, Native Americans and even gays and lesbians.
